Kissflow Procurement Cloud is the procurement application within Kissflow's low-code workflow platform, which also supports custom application building, workflow automation, governance, security and compliance, and AI automation. It is positioned around enterprise and business-led digital transformation rather than around procurement alone.

Building procurement on a low-code platform is the distinguishing property and it changes what a buyer is choosing. A packaged procurement product encodes one purchasing process and the customer adapts to it. A platform based one lets the customer reshape the process, which suits organisations whose approval chains genuinely differ from the default, and which is a real situation in regulated industries, project based businesses and public bodies.

The cost of that flexibility is the familiar one. A configurable system requires somebody to configure it and to keep configuring it as the organisation changes, and the resulting process is only as good as whoever designed it. Packaged software encodes an opinion, which is often the better outcome.

Citizen development as a named model is worth noting, since it means business teams rather than IT are expected to build, and governance is what stops that becoming an unmanaged sprawl of applications.
