Digit is manufacturing ERP positioned explicitly against spreadsheets, with the entry plan described as replacing Excel and running your warehouse from day one.

Naming the actual incumbent is more honest than positioning against enterprise ERP, because that is what the target customer is really using. A growing manufacturer does not migrate from SAP; it migrates from a purchase order spreadsheet, a stock spreadsheet and a production plan that lives in one person's head.

Traceability from supplier to shipment is published as its own capability, and it is the one that most justifies leaving spreadsheets behind. When a customer reports a defect, the question is which batch it came from, which components went into that batch, which supplier delivered those components and what else was made from the same lot. A spreadsheet cannot answer that in an afternoon, and in regulated manufacturing the inability to answer it is itself a finding.

Purchase order management is framed around creating and tracking orders without emails or spreadsheets, warehouse management automates receiving, storage and fulfilment, and the manufacturing ERP side covers bills of materials with versioning and production scheduling with adjustable work orders.

BOM versioning deserves note. Products change, and a manufacturer needs to know which version of the bill of materials was used for a batch made eight months ago, particularly when investigating a fault or reproducing an order.

Pricing is published with annual billing saving 20 percent. The Starter plan is $320 per month covering five users, with figures of $50 and $100 published for additional users and integrations. Publishing the user and integration increments openly lets a manufacturer calculate its real monthly cost rather than discovering it during negotiation.
