TinyPNG compresses and converts images across modern formats including AVIF, JPEG XL, WebP, PNG and JPEG, working in the browser for one off jobs and through the Tinify API for automated use. A website analyser scans a site and reports the savings available.

The browser tool is what most people meet first and it is deliberately trivial to use. Somebody with a handful of oversized images needs a result, not an account, and a page that compresses a dropped file immediately serves that better than any application would.

The API is where the same technology becomes infrastructure. A site accepting user uploads has to compress them automatically, because nobody is going to process them by hand, and a service call in the upload path solves that permanently rather than one batch at a time.

Pricing follows that split. The first five hundred compressions each month are free, the next nine thousand five hundred are charged at nine tenths of a cent each, and the vendor's calculator estimates two thousand compressions at thirteen dollars fifty. That structure suits both a small site and a large one without a subscription commitment, which is unusual in this category and removes the awkward decision a monthly plan forces on a site whose upload volume is seasonal or unpredictable. A site analyser is also offered that scans any address and reports the savings available before a single image is processed.
