Serenic Navigator

Serenic Navigator is fund accounting and enterprise resource planning for nonprofits and public sector organisations, now sold as SylogistMission within the Sylogist portfolio, which also covers donor management and fundraising.

Combining fund accounting with donor management addresses the two halves of a nonprofit's financial life. Money comes in from donors and grantors with conditions attached, and it goes out against those conditions. Holding both in one system means the restriction recorded when a gift is received is the same restriction enforced when it is spent, rather than a note in the fundraising system that the finance team must be told about separately.

Being built on a Microsoft platform, as the Navigator product historically was, matters to organisations already standardised on Microsoft, since it inherits a familiar administration model and integrates with the productivity tools staff already use.

Buyers should note the branding. The product is presented under the SylogistMission name and the site is Sylogist's, so documentation and support appear under that brand rather than Serenic. Where a long established product has been renamed, searching for the old name will find community material that may describe an older release, so check which version any guidance applies to before relying on it.
