RethinkBH is practice management software for ABA and paediatric therapy providers, covering clinical programming, data collection, scheduling, reminders, training and insurance billing. Its most substantive differentiator is the content library: more than 1,500 customisable care plans, alongside streamlined treatment report writing. For a start-up or small practice, that library is worth more than most features, because writing programmes from scratch is exactly what a newly credentialed BCBA has least time for.

The AI additions are aimed at documentation, which is where clinical time actually leaks. Session Note AI drafts notes, BillAI addresses billing, and an AI Dashboard surfaces practice data. Session notes are the reasonable target: technicians and analysts spend substantial unbillable time writing them, and payers require them, so reducing that effort converts directly into either capacity or reduced overtime.

Medical Necessity Assessment is a distinctive inclusion and reflects real payer pressure. ABA authorisations increasingly require documented justification of medical necessity, and a practice that cannot produce it loses authorisations regardless of clinical quality. Supporting that in software rather than leaving it to individual clinicians is a meaningful risk reduction.

The remaining components cover the operational span: ABA scheduling, ABA billing, analytics, RBT training, a Marketplace, and ParentHub for family communication. Practices are addressed by stage rather than only by size, with start-up ABA, scaling practices and enterprise practices treated separately, which reflects that a two-clinician start-up and a multi-site organisation need different things from the same category.
