Packsize provides on demand packaging technology across apparel, automotive, electronics, ecommerce, food, furniture, industrial manufacturing and third party logistics. Rather than picking from stock box sizes, the system makes each box to fit the order it will carry.

The waste in conventional packing is larger than most people realise. A warehouse holding a dozen box sizes packs most orders in a box too big, fills the gap with void material, and then pays to ship air across the whole distribution network, on every parcel, permanently.

Right sizing removes three costs simultaneously. Less corrugate is used, void fill largely disappears, and more parcels fit in each vehicle, which is the one that compounds because freight is charged on volume as often as on weight.

The environmental case is unusually well aligned with the commercial one here, which is rare. Reducing material and reducing transport are the same action, so the sustainability reporting a retailer needs and the cost reduction a finance director wants come from one change rather than being traded against each other. That alignment is what makes the business case unusually easy to argue internally, since neither side of the organisation has to concede anything to the other. No pricing is published.
