Omnata is a data synchronisation application built natively on Snowflake, published as secure by design, fastest to deploy and positioned as a way to cut software as a service costs, with per-connection daily pricing across applications including Airtable and ApprovalMax.

Running as a native application inside Snowflake rather than as an external service is the architectural decision that defines the product, and it changes the security posture in a way that matters to regulated organisations.

A conventional integration service authenticates to your data warehouse from outside, extracts data across the internet, processes it on the vendor's infrastructure and writes it onward. That means your data leaves your environment and sits, however briefly, on a third party's systems. Every security review examines that, and in regulated industries it is frequently where an integration project stops.

A Snowflake native application runs inside the customer's own Snowflake account. The data does not leave, the vendor does not hold it, and the security review becomes a much shorter conversation. For organisations that have already made Snowflake their governed data platform, this preserves that boundary rather than punching a hole through it.

The per-connection daily pricing model is unusually granular and worth examining against your own use. Published rates run $5.00 per day for a first sync direction, $2.50 for an additional direction or extra connection, and $6.50 for certain configurations. Daily pricing suits intermittent or seasonal integrations, where a connection needed for two months a year costs two months rather than a year.

Bi-directional sync being priced separately from one-way reflects genuine difference in difficulty. Writing back to a source system requires handling conflicts, respecting its validation rules and avoiding loops, which is substantially harder than reading.
