How to log in
- App: open Instagram and enter your username, email or phone number and password.
- Computer: go to instagram.com and log in with the same details.
- Facebook: if your accounts are linked in Accounts Center, you can log in with Facebook.
Forgot your password
- On the login screen, tap Forgot password?
- Enter your username, email or phone number.
- Use the link or code Instagram sends to set a new password.
Forgot your username? Use your email address or phone number to log in instead.
Reset email not arriving
- Check spam, junk and promotions folders.
- Make sure you are checking the email address linked to the account.
- Wait a few minutes before requesting another email, and use the newest one.
Lost access to your email or phone
Follow Instagram’s recovery prompts on the login screen. You may be asked to confirm your identity, for example with a video selfie or by uploading ID.
Account hacked
If someone changed your email or password, use Instagram’s hacked account recovery from the login screen (or instagram.com/hacked). Then turn on two-factor authentication in Accounts Center.
Account disabled
A disabled account breaks Instagram’s rules. When you try to log in, Instagram explains the reason and, where available, how to request a review.
