What is Google Keep?

Google Keep is a lightweight note-taking app for capturing quick notes, checklists, and reminders. Notes can include text, images, voice recordings that get transcribed, and drawings, and Keep uses optical character recognition to pull text out of images so it can be searched later. Notes can be color-coded and organized with labels, pinned to the top, or set with time- or location-based reminders, and everything syncs instantly across devices tied to the same Google account.

Keep is entirely free with any Google account and includes Gemini AI integration to summarize notes, generate ideas, and draft content from existing notes. It is available as a web app and on Android and iOS, and it integrates closely with other Google Workspace apps like Docs and Calendar.
