What is Rally (Broadcom)?

Rally is an enterprise agile planning tool now sold by Broadcom, originally built by Rally Software and later acquired through CA Technologies. It is designed for large organizations running Scrum, Kanban, or scaled frameworks such as SAFe across many teams, giving portfolio and program leaders one place to plan, prioritize, and track work from strategy down to individual sprints.

The platform includes customizable dashboards, real time reporting, dependency and risk tracking, and test and defect management, plus connectors for Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub and an open Web Services API for custom integrations. Rally is sold only through direct sales with custom quotes, and its on premises edition reached end of life in June 2023, leaving the cloud hosted SaaS version as the current offering.
