Taranis

Taranis provides crop intelligence built on leaf level imagery, serving growers and the agronomic advisors who work with them. Resolution is the distinguishing claim: imagery detailed enough to identify individual leaves rather than showing field level variation.

The difference between those is what the data can tell you. A satellite image shows that part of a field is underperforming, which a farmer generally already knows, while leaf level imagery can show why, distinguishing a weed problem from a nutrient deficiency from insect damage.

That distinction changes the decision rather than informing it. Knowing an area is stressed prompts someone to go and look; knowing it is a specific weed at a specific density prompts a specific treatment, and the value is in the intervention being right rather than in the observation being made.

Selling to advisors as well as growers reflects how agronomic decisions are actually taken. Many farmers rely on an agronomist for input recommendations, and a tool that makes the advisor more effective across their whole client base spreads faster than one sold farm by farm, because a single advisor carries it across dozens of operations.
