The CropX system aggregates data from soil to sky and turns it into information a farmer can act on, giving a holistic overview of field and crop conditions. Soil sensing is the foundation, which distinguishes it from platforms built on imagery alone.

Soil moisture is the measurement that most directly changes a decision, because irrigation is both expensive and easy to get wrong in either direction. Watering land that does not need it wastes water and energy and can damage the crop, while under watering costs yield that cannot be recovered later in the season.

The difficulty with soil data has always been that a sensor measures one point and a field is not uniform. Combining in ground sensing with aerial and weather data is how a reading from one location becomes an estimate for a whole field, and that combination is the actual product.

Presenting it as one accessible overview is not a trivial part of the offering. A farmer is not going to interpret four separate data feeds during a working day, and the value of aggregation lies in a single answer to what needs attention today rather than in the completeness of the underlying data, however impressive that completeness may be.
