What is LeaseAccelerator?

LeaseAccelerator is centralised lease management and lease accounting software for large portfolios, now part of insightsoftware, whose wider family covers financial reporting, planning and close tooling across more than 140 enterprise resource planning systems.

The insightsoftware ownership is genuinely relevant rather than incidental, because lease accounting is a reporting problem before it is a property one. The output of a lease system is a set of journal entries and disclosures that have to arrive in the general ledger and survive the close, and a vendor whose other products are Excel and reporting layers over SAP, Oracle, Dynamics and JD Edwards is unusually well placed on that specific handoff.

Centralisation is the operational argument and it is the harder half of enterprise lease compliance. Large organisations sign leases in dozens of countries and business units, negotiated locally and filed locally, and the accounting standards require all of them measured consistently. Simply finding every lease is frequently the largest part of an implementation, and keeping newly signed ones flowing in is what determines whether the system stays accurate after year one.

Equipment leases as well as real estate are the reason enterprise portfolios get large: vehicles, machinery and technology assets are leased in volume with short terms and frequent renewals, so a portfolio of a few hundred property leases can sit alongside thousands of equipment ones. Rates are not published; the pricing route runs through an insightsoftware price request.

LeaseAccelerator FAQs

Lease accounting is a reporting problem first. Its output is journal entries and disclosures that must reach the general ledger and survive the close, and insightsoftware's other products are reporting layers over major ERPs.

Large organisations sign leases in dozens of countries and business units, negotiated and filed locally. Finding every lease is often the largest part of an implementation.

Whether newly signed leases keep flowing into the central repository. A system that was complete at implementation and never updated is worse than none, because it looks authoritative.

Yes, and equipment is why enterprise portfolios get large: vehicles, machinery and technology assets are leased in volume with short terms and frequent renewals.
