Assessing AI agents with developer assessment tooling is a genuinely novel application and the reasoning holds. An automated coding assessment presents a problem, accepts a solution and evaluates it against test cases and quality criteria without human involvement. Interview recording and playback deserves note for a specific reason: it lets a hiring team review how a candidate approached a problem rather than only whether they solved it, and it makes hiring decisions reviewable after the fact when someone questions them.
