Edge10 Group builds ARMS, an athlete records management system covering health through an electronic medical records product, performance data analytics and physical testing and benchmarking, used across more than 40 sports and stated to hold data on over 250,000 athletes.

Being league wide rather than club wide is the structural advantage here and Edge10 states it plainly, citing deals with Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League. A league level medical records system means an athlete's history travels with them between clubs, which is the single hardest data problem in professional sport and one no club level product can solve on its own.

Built by practitioners for practitioners is a claim worth testing, and the product range supports it: electronic medical records, physical testing benchmarks and performance analytics are the three artefacts a sports science and medical department actually maintains, rather than an abstraction of them. Edge10 describes ARMS as the world's first league wide records management system.

Physical testing and benchmarking reaching beyond sport into fitness, the armed forces and corporate wellness is a sensible extension, since the underlying job is the same in each: measure a population repeatedly, compare against norms and identify who is at risk.
