What is Forest?

Forest is a focus timer app made by the Taiwan-based studio Seekrtech that turns concentration into a game. Starting a focus session plants a virtual tree that grows while the phone is left alone; leaving the app during Deep Focus mode causes the tree to wither. Additional tools include Time Guard for scheduled app blocking, Plant Together for synchronized group sessions, and Mindful Space for breathing exercises and ambient sounds, plus analytics on streaks and total focused hours.

The core experience is free with occasional ads outside of sessions. An optional Forest Plus subscription unlocks exclusive tree species, the full soundscape library, custom app allowlists and ad-free use. Coins earned in the app can also be spent to fund real tree planting through a partnership with Trees for the Future.
