What is GlitchTip?
GlitchTip is an open source error tracking platform built with Django and Vue.js, designed as a lighter alternative to self-hosted Sentry while remaining compatible with Sentry's client SDKs. It captures crash reports with stack traces, groups errors, tracks releases and environments, and adds uptime monitoring and basic performance transaction tracking, all under the MIT license.
Because it reuses existing Sentry SDKs and the same DSN format, teams can point their current error-tracking integrations at GlitchTip with minimal changes. It runs in as little as 512MB of RAM, making self-hosting practical for small teams, while a hosted cloud service with tiered event-based pricing is available for teams that prefer not to manage infrastructure themselves.
