Integration rather than replacement is the sensible strategy for this market. A dairy farm accumulates equipment from several manufacturers over decades, with milking, feeding and monitoring systems bought at different times, and software insisting on being the only source of data is asking the farm to replace working machinery.

Health and fertility are the two areas where combined data changes decisions. A cow's fertility window and her health status come from different sensors and determine the same action, and a farmer looking at two screens makes that judgement worse than one looking at a combined view.

Forty years is a meaningful credential in agriculture specifically. Farms buy on long cycles and value a supplier that will still be answering the phone in a decade, and longevity here is a stronger signal than in faster-moving software categories.
