What is Splash Music?

Splash Music, later offered as Splash Pro, was an AI powered music generator built by the Australian studio behind the popular Roblox game SPLASH. Users typed a text prompt describing a mood, genre, or scene, and the generative engine arranged loops from a large sample library into a full instrumental track in seconds. A standout Text to Vocals feature added AI singing or rap, with a roster of AI singers and rappers, plus an AI lyric assistant. Tracks were royalty free and could be exported for commercial use.

Important status note: the product has been discontinued. The Splash Music and Beatmaker mobile apps closed on January 16, 2024, and Splash Pro was shut down for remaining free users on April 22, 2024. In March 2024 the company publicly announced it was returning to game development. The pro.splashmusic.com service is no longer operational, so the tool is not available to new users.

Splash Music Pros and Cons

Splash Music FAQs

No. The Splash Music and Beatmaker mobile apps closed on January 16, 2024, and the Splash Pro AI generator was shut down for remaining free users on April 22, 2024. The company announced in March 2024 that it was returning to game development, so the AI music tool is no longer available to new users.

It was an AI music generator. You entered a text prompt describing a mood, genre, or scene, and it produced a full instrumental track by arranging loops from a large sample library. It could also add AI generated singing or rap vocals with your own or AI written lyrics.

Yes. While the service was active, tracks generated with Splash Pro were royalty free and users were allowed to use their creations commercially without additional licensing fees.

Songs could be downloaded in MP3, WAV, and WAV stem formats, and as an MP4 lyric video, with tracks up to roughly 180 seconds long.

Yes, historically. A free tier offered basic generation with limited vocal options, alongside paid Starter and Max tiers that unlocked more AI singers, rappers, and longer songs. All tiers are now discontinued and pricing can no longer be verified.

Because Splash is shut down, users typically move to other AI music generators such as Suno, Udio, or Soundverse for text to song creation with vocals.
