What is Snapsheet?

Snapsheet provides claims management with AI virtual appraisals and integrated payments, covering private passenger vehicles, boats and marine, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, medium and heavy duty trucks, utility and exotic vehicles, alongside total loss settlement.

Virtual appraisal is the capability that reshapes the economics of motor claims. Traditionally an adjuster or independent appraiser physically inspects a damaged vehicle, which means scheduling an appointment, travelling to it and producing an estimate, taking days and costing more than the smaller claims are worth arguing about. Virtual appraisal works from photographs the claimant supplies, which compresses days into hours and removes the travel cost entirely.

The vehicle type list matters more than it appears. A motorcycle, a boat and a heavy truck have entirely different damage patterns, repair economics and parts markets from a passenger car, and appraisal logic built for cars produces poor estimates on the rest. Naming each separately suggests genuine differentiation rather than one model applied broadly.

Total loss settlement is called out separately because it is a different determination from repair estimating: the question becomes what the vehicle was worth rather than what repair would cost, and that valuation is the most disputed part of motor claims.

Integrated payments close the loop, since a claim is not resolved when it is approved but when the claimant has the money, and the gap between those is where customer satisfaction is actually lost.

A published customer account reports Clearcover reducing claims cycle times with a 15 percent decrease in operating costs.

Pricing is not published, which is normal for insurance software quoted on claim volume.

Snapsheet FAQs

No pricing is published, which is normal for insurance software. Cost is typically quoted on claim volume and which capabilities are taken.

The economics. Physical inspection means scheduling, travelling and estimating over days, which costs more than smaller claims are worth arguing about. Photo-based appraisal compresses that to hours.

Because a motorcycle, a boat and a heavy truck have different damage patterns, repair economics and parts markets from a car. Appraisal logic built for cars estimates the rest poorly.

Because it is a different determination. The question becomes what the vehicle was worth rather than what repair would cost, and that valuation is the most disputed part of motor claims.

Because a claim is resolved when the claimant has the money, not when it is approved. The gap between approval and payment is where customer satisfaction is actually lost.
