What is Redocly?

Redocly grew out of Redoc, the widely used open source OpenAPI documentation renderer, into a platform the company brands as its REALM family: Redoc for documentation, Reunite for collaboration, Revel and Reef alongside them.

The organising goal is accelerating API adoption, broken into three problems. Onboarding hubs are built so developers practically onboard themselves, which is the correct ambition for a public API where every support conversation is a failure of the documentation. Collaboration brings the whole team in through source control. Governance covers building, nurturing and discovering an API ecosystem.

Reunite is the collaboration surface, bringing stakeholders into one platform for design, editing and review across the full cycle, with side by side visual reviews, an editor with webview and remote capability. Visual review matters for documentation specifically, because reviewing a rendered page catches problems that reviewing a specification file does not.
