Lightspeed Systems provides end to end content filtering for schools alongside Insight for application usage and compliance, Alert for student safety monitoring, StopIt for reporting, classroom management, screen time controls and multi layer filter bypass prevention. It is sold to IT, safety and student services, superintendents, curriculum staff, teachers, finance and procurement.

Bypass prevention as a named product feature is an unusually honest acknowledgement of reality. Students actively work to defeat school filtering, sharing proxy sites and VPN apps, and a filter that assumes cooperation fails within days of deployment in any secondary school. Treating circumvention as the expected condition rather than an edge case is the correct design premise.

Edtech return on investment is a distinctive capability aimed at a buyer most competitors ignore. A district buys dozens of educational applications, and nobody knows which are actually used, so renewal decisions are made on advocacy rather than evidence. That analysis is possible only because the filtering infrastructure already sees the traffic.
