What is Gloat?

Gloat operates as an agentic workforce platform, matching employees to internal opportunities including projects, gigs and roles based on skills, and giving leaders a view of the capability the organisation actually holds. Its current material extends into agents and teams working alongside people rather than only redeploying human talent.

The internal marketplace idea addresses a genuinely expensive problem. Large organisations recruit externally for skills that already exist somewhere inside them, because nobody knows where, and the cost of that is paid twice: once in recruitment fees and again in the departure of the person whose skills went unused.

Making it work depends on something the software cannot supply. Managers have to be willing to release people to work elsewhere, and in most organisations they are not, so a marketplace that leadership has not backed becomes a job board nobody posts to.

Skills data is the useful by-product even when mobility stalls. Knowing what capability the organisation holds informs hiring, training and planning decisions, and that map is worth having whether or not anybody moves. An organisation that discovers it already employs forty people with a skill it was about to recruit for has recovered the cost of the platform in one decision.

The vendor's current material extends beyond redeploying people into agents and teams working alongside them, which is an early direction rather than a proven one.
