Logi Symphony is insightsoftware's embedded analytics product, and its purpose is different from a standalone business intelligence tool. Rather than giving your own staff a place to analyse data, it puts analytics inside a product you ship to your customers. The vendor describes it as custom embedded analytics that is highly visual and built to spec, which is the crucial distinction: software companies embedding analytics need the result to look like their own application, not like a third-party dashboard framed inside it.

Three capabilities define the offering. Custom embedded analytics covers the visual integration itself. Pixel-perfect reporting produces exact layouts at high volume, which matters for operational and regulatory documents where a report must match a prescribed format rather than simply convey the numbers. Self-service analytics is role-tailored, so different users of the embedding application see analysis appropriate to their role rather than a single generic view.

The AI layer is delivered through Simba Intelligence and is framed around embedding governed AI in products rather than adding a chat window. Chat with your data provides answers grounded in your data, embedded AI analytics puts governed AI into the product you ship, and cross-vendor semantic access connects AI to enterprise data across systems. Alongside this sits Simba data connectivity, with ODBC and JDBC drivers, OEM drivers you can supply to your own users, and the ability to build drivers for your own data. The wider insightsoftware portfolio is oriented to the office of the CFO, covering ERP reporting for Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and over 140 ERPs, plus financial planning, close and disclosure, tax and lease accounting products, with Lineos as its AI layer.
