TestFairy is now sold by Sauce Labs as Sauce Mobile App Distribution (TestFairy), an enterprise service for distributing iOS and Android apps to testers and running beta programs. Sauce Labs pitches it as a switch for teams affected by the retirement of Visual Studio App Center, with enterprise-grade scale, high reliability, top-tier security and simplified beta tester management, and as a Firebase alternative that can import existing testers and app builds from Firebase with minimal disruption.

TestFairy's controlled app distribution covers a highly configurable, secure iOS and Android platform that ensures only the right users can access the right app versions. Storage and management at scale are configured through APIs and integrate with CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, with an intuitive web and mobile interface for uploads, downloads and installs. Tester management syncs, creates and updates tester groups and distributes apps by email, landing pages or a tester dashboard, and the platform supports thousands of beta testers. Security features include private cloud, private storage, configurable retention policies and single sign-on.

Sauce Labs lists feature areas such as enterprise certificates, app expiration, manual app review, landing pages, an internal app store, QR code downloads and grouping by tags and projects. Its pricing page shows Sauce Mobile App Distribution (TestFairy) at $249 per month billed annually, which includes 20 unique apps, 100 beta testers and 60 days of data retention.
