CloudBolt is a cloud management and FinOps platform whose current emphasis is Kubernetes cost allocation and continuous rightsizing, alongside cloud reselling capability for managed and cloud service providers.

Bill-accurate Kubernetes cost allocation is the capability worth examining, because container cost attribution is genuinely hard and most tools approximate it. A Kubernetes cluster is billed as a set of nodes, but the cost that matters belongs to the workloads running on them, and dividing node cost across pods requires accounting for requests, actual usage, idle capacity and shared system overhead. Estimating that is easy; reconciling it back to the actual invoice is not, and a team presented with allocation figures that do not sum to the bill will not trust any of them.

Continuous rightsizing addresses the other half. Kubernetes workloads are almost universally over-provisioned, because engineers set resource requests generously to avoid being throttled and never revisit them. The vendor frames this as a trust gap, which is the accurate diagnosis: teams know their workloads are oversized but will not shrink them without confidence that performance holds, and continuous adjustment based on observed behaviour is what builds that confidence. A published customer account describes Acquia cutting web node infrastructure by 65 percent this way.

Cloud reselling supports managed and cloud service providers billing customers for consumption they broker, which is a different requirement from managing your own spend.
