Veeva Vault

Veeva Vault is the platform layer beneath Veeva Systems' life sciences applications rather than a single application in its own right. That is the important distinction when evaluating it: organisations do not usually buy Vault alone, they buy Veeva applications that all run on Vault and therefore share one content and data model. The practical consequence is that a document produced in clinical work is the same object regulatory affairs references later, instead of a copy moved between systems, which is where version control and inspection readiness normally fail.

The application families built on it map to the regulated functions of a life sciences organisation. Clinical covers eTMF for inspection readiness, CTMS for end-to-end trial management, Study Startup for site activation, RTSM for randomisation and supply, Site Connect for information sharing with sites, Study Training, Payments for paying research sites, and Disclosures. Clinical data adds EDC for site data collection, DQS for aggregating and cleaning study data, and eCOA for patient-reported data. Regulatory runs through RIM, covering Registrations for global tracking, Submissions planning, Submissions Publishing to health authorities, and an archive of submission history.

Quality Cloud covers QMS, QualityDocs for GxP document control, Validation Management for paperless validation, Batch Release, Product Surveillance for postmarket medical device monitoring, and LIMS for quality control labs, with Training and accredited LearnGxP eLearning attached. The Safety Suite handles adverse event management, safety content, reporting and signal detection, and a Medical Suite covers publications and medical communications.
