What is Tekion?

Tekion is an AI-native automotive retail platform built on a unified data foundation, connecting every customer, vehicle, deal and financial record across a dealership and surfacing that through a single interface called T1. More than 3,000 dealerships are cited as customers.

AI-native rather than AI-added is the claim, and the unified data foundation is what makes it more than marketing. Legacy dealer systems accumulated department by department, so sales, service, parts and accounting each hold their own version of a customer and a vehicle, and reconciling them is a permanent tax. An AI layer over that fragmentation can only answer questions its underlying data can express, which is why architecture rather than model choice determines what is actually possible.

T1 being role-aware is the practical consequence. A service advisor, a finance manager and a general manager need different information about the same deal, and a single interface that adapts to the role avoids the usual outcome where each department gets its own screen and nobody sees across them. Tekion describes the flow as ask, decide, act, meaning the interface does not only surface information but executes within the workflow.

Security and responsible AI are given prominence, which is appropriate given what a dealership system holds: credit applications, driving licences, financial records and purchase histories for thousands of customers, under financial services regulation as much as retail. Tekion offers demos and published AI demonstrations. Pricing is not published.

Tekion FAQs

Rates are not published. Dealer platforms are quoted on rooftop count, departments covered and integration scope.

The platform was built on a unified data foundation rather than layering AI over department-by-department legacy systems, so the AI can express questions the underlying data actually supports.

Tekion's single role-aware interface, adapting to whether the user is a service advisor, finance manager or general manager, and executing within the workflow rather than only surfacing information.

Legacy dealer systems hold separate versions of a customer and vehicle in sales, service, parts and accounting. Reconciling them is a permanent tax, and an AI layer over that fragmentation is limited by it.

Security and responsible AI are given prominence, reflecting that a dealership system holds credit applications, driving licences and financial records under financial services regulation as well as retail.
