Planning Center Services is the worship planning and scheduling product within Planning Center, handling service order, song selection and volunteer rostering. Music Stand, sold separately, provides digital sheet music and chord charts to the musicians on the platform, and both sit alongside the wider Planning Center suite covering membership, giving, groups, check-ins and a church app.

Scheduling volunteers is the hard part of worship planning and it is what this is really for. A service needs musicians, sound and presentation operators and often childcare, each with their own availability, and the person assembling that is usually doing it around a full time job. Automating requests, confirmations and reminders removes a weekly round of chasing.

Music Stand solves the corresponding problem for the musicians. A band arrives with printed sheets in different keys and different arrangements, and putting the same chart, transposed correctly, on every player's tablet removes an argument that happens at every rehearsal.
