DAT Load Board

DAT operates what it describes as trucking's largest load board, and the scale claim is the main reason carriers and brokers use it: brokers get access to the most trucks and the deepest data, carriers find loads first on the largest network. In a marketplace business, liquidity is the product, so raw participant numbers matter more than they would for ordinary software.

What surrounds the board is as significant as the board itself. DAT iQ RateView provides rate analytics, and DAT iQ Benchmark Analytics and Network Analytics extend that into market comparison, which is what allows a carrier to know whether an offered rate is reasonable before accepting it. Tracking, a Broker TMS, insurance, fuel card services and operating authority services are all offered, so DAT covers much of a carrier's administrative stack rather than load matching alone.

DAT Outgo is the factoring product and is integrated directly into DAT One, so factoring-eligible loads are identifiable on the load board itself rather than checked separately afterwards. Non-recourse factoring is offered with a Rate Match Guarantee, promising to meet or beat a previous rate after an introductory period, with cancellation on 15 days notice. Tiers run from Standard through Enhanced, PRO and Select, differing by how many simultaneous searches are allowed and by the level of DAT Assurance account credit included.
