Kadence provides workplace operations software covering desk booking, room booking and coordination of who is in the office when, with an AI assistant offering workspace suggestions. It publishes a setup charge for floor plan configuration alongside its subscription.

Coordinating people rather than only allocating space is the useful distinction. Booking a desk solves nothing if the colleagues you came in to work with chose a different day, and the actual value of an office under hybrid working is being with the right people. A system that shows who is planning to be in, and lets a team align on days, addresses the reason for coming in rather than the mechanics of sitting down.

The AI assistant suggesting workspaces follows from the same data. Once the system knows who is in and where teams tend to sit, recommending a desk near the people you work with is more useful than presenting a floor plan and asking you to choose.

Publishing the floor plan setup fee separately is unusually straightforward. Configuring an accurate interactive floor plan is real work that most vendors absorb into an implementation quote, and naming it lets a buyer see the one off cost rather than discovering it in a proposal after they have committed to the subscription.
