What is FoodLogiQ?

FoodLogiQ is food safety and traceability software for the food supply chain, now sold as part of Trustwell following the rebrand of the parent business. It sits within the Trustwell Connect platform alongside the Genesis nutrition analysis and labelling products, covering supplier management, traceability, audits and incident response.

Traceability is the capability the product is built to deliver and it is a regulatory requirement rather than a preference. When a contamination event occurs, the question is which lots contained the affected ingredient and where those lots went, and answering it in hours instead of days determines the size of the recall. A system holding chain of custody across suppliers can answer it directly, where reconstructing the chain from paperwork cannot.

Supplier management covers the documentation, certifications and approvals that decide whether an ingredient should have entered the supply chain at all, which is the preventive half of the same problem. Audit and inspection management then records what was checked and when.

Sitting within Trustwell Connect places traceability next to formulation and labelling, so the same platform holds what is in a product, what the label claims about it and where its ingredients came from. Buyers should note the brand transition, since documentation and support now appear under the Trustwell name.

Yes. The vendor states FoodLogiQ is now Trustwell. The product continues under the FoodLogiQ name within the Trustwell Connect platform, but documentation and support appear under the Trustwell brand.

During a contamination event the question is which lots held the affected ingredient and where they went. Answering in hours rather than days determines how large a recall has to be.

The platform covers formulation and labelling through the Genesis product line, so what is in a product, what its label claims and where its ingredients came from sit together.

Yes. Supplier management covers documentation, certifications and approvals, which is the preventive side of the same problem that traceability addresses after the fact.
