What is Safefood 360?

Safefood 360 is food safety and supplier quality management software organised around the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point plan, which is the framework food manufacturers are required to work to. Modules cover HACCP and preventive control plans, the wider management system, supplier quality, audit management and business intelligence reporting.

Building the product around HACCP rather than around generic document control is the decision that shapes it. A food safety programme is not a filing system, it is a live plan identifying hazards, defining critical control points and proving those points were monitored, so software that models the plan itself can tell an operator whether the plan is being followed. Software that only stores documents cannot.

Supplier quality management sits beside it because a manufacturer inherits the hazards of everything it buys. Controlling the plant while accepting unverified ingredients leaves the most likely source of a problem outside the system, which is why the two modules are sold together.

The product supports the recognised certification standards food manufacturers are audited against, and serves specific sectors including bakeries, seafood processors, beverage manufacturers and pet food and animal feed producers. Business intelligence dashboards and remote oversight let quality managers monitor multiple sites without being present at each.

Yes. Supplier quality management is a core module, on the basis that a manufacturer inherits the hazards of everything it buys and controlling only the plant leaves the likeliest source of a problem outside the system.
