What is CargoWise?

CargoWise is a logistics execution platform covering international forwarding, customs and compliance, international ecommerce, warehousing, carriers and drayage operators, built around deep integration across those functions.

The integration argument is the whole product and it is stronger in freight forwarding than in most industries. A single international shipment touches a forwarder, a customs broker, an ocean or air carrier, a drayage operator moving the container from port to warehouse, a warehouse, and often a final-mile carrier. Each holds part of the shipment's story, and traditionally each records it in its own system with data passed between them by email, spreadsheet and rekeying.

The consequence is that nobody can answer where a shipment is without asking three companies. Errors introduced at any handoff propagate, and customs declarations built from rekeyed data carry a compliance risk that is entirely avoidable.

Customs and compliance being a named pillar rather than a module reflects where the actual risk sits. A misdeclared shipment is not a service failure but a regulatory one, carrying penalties and potentially losing the trader status that makes fast clearance possible.

Serving carriers and drayage operators alongside forwarders is the more distinctive part. Most software in this category serves one participant; covering several means shipment data can flow between parties within one system rather than across an integration.

International ecommerce appears as its own capability, reflecting how much cross-border volume is now small parcels rather than containers, which is a different customs and fulfilment problem entirely.

Pricing is not published, which is normal for platforms of this scope.

CargoWise FAQs

No pricing is published, which is normal for platforms of this scope. Cost typically depends on transaction volume, modules taken and the number of countries you operate in.

Because one shipment touches a forwarder, a broker, a carrier, a drayage operator and a warehouse. Each holds part of the story, and traditionally the data passes between them by email and rekeying.

Nobody can answer where a shipment is without asking three companies, errors at each handoff propagate, and customs declarations built from rekeyed data carry avoidable compliance risk.

Because a misdeclared shipment is a regulatory failure rather than a service one, carrying penalties and potentially the loss of trader status that makes fast clearance possible in the first place.

Because most software serves one participant. Covering several means shipment data flows between parties within one system rather than across an integration that has to be built and maintained.
