Troop Messenger

Troop Messenger is a team messaging and collaboration platform aimed at organisations with security requirements that rule out consumer chat tools. Alongside the usual channels, direct messages, file sharing and audio and video calling, it ships a set of features with unusual names that describe genuinely distinct behaviours. Burnout creates a self-destructing private conversation, Forkout sends one message to many users and groups at once, and Jointly Code gives two people a shared code editor inside the chat.

Access control is where the product aims at regulated buyers. Orange Member provides a guest account so external parties join a specific conversation without entering the wider workspace. Administrators get LDAP, Active Directory and single sign-on integration, mobile device management, chat history deletion controls and call takeover. The vendor markets explicitly to law enforcement agencies and offers a navy messaging application, which is consistent with the deployment options: software as a service, on-premise, a chat API and a custom application build.

A newer AI layer covers auto suggestions, smart summaries of conversations, an AI Buddy assistant and AI translation, the last of which pairs with the platform's multilingual interface. Practical touches round it out: unlimited search history, read receipts, self messaging for notes, chat area filters, a File Deck collecting shared files in one place, and audio messaging. Storage scales by plan from 50GB up to 1TB.
