Clear Estimates

Clear Estimates is built for remodelling contractors rather than commercial construction, and it solves the problem from the opposite direction to takeoff software. Instead of measuring a drawing, the contractor selects from a library of over 500 project templates covering everything from simple painting bids and flooring installs to complex framing packages and siding replacements, then inputs dimensions.

The software then generates an itemised cost estimate using local material and labour rates. The cost data is the same industry standard set used by Remodeling Magazine for its annual Cost vs Value Report, which gives a small contractor access to pricing research it could not assemble alone. Estimates remain fully customisable, allowing parts to be swapped, markups adjusted and specialised line items added.

Three tiers are published with a 30 day free trial on each and no contract. Standard is 59 dollars per month billed annually. Pro is 99 dollars per month billed annually or 119 dollars billed monthly, adding invoicing, custom filtering and reports, property data from ATTOM and additional users at 9 dollars per month.

Franchise starts at 249 dollars per month, with the company noting that the actual rate is based on the exact scope of customisation required and includes employee training. For a franchisor standardising estimating across franchisees, that customisation is the point rather than an add on.
