Itineris UMAX

UMAX is Itineris's utility suite, combining customer relationship management, a customer information system, enterprise resource planning and data solutions for utilities, built on the Microsoft platform and integrated with Microsoft Copilot. The UMAX Customer Platform is the core, with UMAX Real Time extending it for scenarios requiring immediate data handling.

Building on Microsoft rather than on a proprietary stack is the decision that shapes the buying case. A utility choosing UMAX inherits Microsoft's identity, security, reporting and integration model, and its IT staff work with technology they likely already run elsewhere. That reduces the specialist skill a utility must hire or retain purely to keep its customer information system alive, which is a genuine constraint for organisations whose core business is delivering water or power rather than running software.

Real time processing addresses a shift in how utilities operate. Smart metering produces continuous data rather than a reading every quarter, and systems designed around periodic batch billing cannot use it well.
