Purple WiFi

Purple is a WiFi platform for venues rather than a networking product, sitting on top of hardware a site already owns and turning the connection itself into a data and security layer. The vendor structures it as three products on one platform, which is the clearest way to judge fit. Guest WiFi captures consented first-party data through a branded captive portal or a seamless connection, and feeds visitor analytics and reporting so a venue learns who is on site and how often they return.

Staff WiFi takes the opposite approach, prioritising security over data capture. Employee devices are onboarded with certificate-based authentication for passwordless zero trust access, integrating with existing identity providers including Entra ID, Google and Okta. Auto-revocation handles joiners, movers and leavers, so access follows the identity system rather than needing manual cleanup when someone changes role or leaves.

The third product covers residential and long-stay environments, creating secure personal network bubbles for each resident across all their devices. That includes browserless devices such as games consoles and televisions, which cannot complete a captive portal login and are the usual failure point in shared-building WiFi. iPSK simplifies device connection and returning users reconnect seamlessly. Setup is presented as three steps: connect your hardware, customise the portal, and go live, with the vendor documenting which WiFi hardware it supports.
