What is Treasury Prime?
Treasury Prime is an embedded banking platform built on a bank-direct model, connecting fintechs to sponsor banks through Bank OS, covering accounts, payments, compliance and digital experiences.
Bank-direct is the structural position and it is the most consequential distinction in this category. In the intermediated model the platform sits between the fintech and the bank and holds the relationship, which is simpler to start but means the fintech depends entirely on an arrangement it is not party to. Bank-direct puts the fintech in a contractual relationship with the bank itself, which is more work up front and considerably more durable.
That distinction stopped being theoretical when several banking-as-a-service intermediaries failed or were forced to unwind programmes, leaving fintechs scrambling to find new sponsors with customer funds in the middle. A direct relationship survives the platform's own difficulties, which is why regulators and sophisticated buyers now ask about it specifically.
The Find a Bank service is the practical expression of that model, since a fintech needing a sponsor relationship faces a genuinely hard search. Compliance is treated as its own solution area rather than assumed, which is appropriate given that failures in this sector have overwhelmingly been compliance failures. A developer sandbox, changelog, API status page and public product roadmap are published, alongside material for commercial neobanks, investment platforms and labour marketplaces. Rates are not published.
