Giving away a working checker is confident, because it lets a prospect discover their own problem before any conversation happens, and in accessibility most buyers do not know the scale of their exposure until something shows them.

The screen reader field guide is the most useful of those to a working team. Most developers have never used a screen reader and cannot picture how their interface sounds, which is why so much remediation satisfies a checker while remaining unusable in practice. Teaching people to hear their own page changes what they build far more than another automated report does.

Pairing accessibility with speed, functionality and mobile testing recognises that these overlap in practice. A page that takes twelve seconds to load is unusable for everyone, and a control that fails on mobile fails for the large share of disabled users who browse on phones.
