What is Convera?

Convera provides foreign exchange and cross-border payment services organised by customer type rather than by product, addressing small businesses, medium and large businesses, educational institutions, financial institutions and institutional investment funds.

Segmenting by institution is unusual and it reflects genuinely different problems. A school collecting international student fees is receiving many small payments from families in dozens of countries, each needing to pay in their own currency and each needing to be matched to a student record. A private markets investment fund is moving occasional very large sums with settlement timing that matters enormously. Those share a currency conversion and almost nothing else.

The education focus is the most distinctive part of the business and it solves a real administrative problem: without a specialist service, a university's finance office receives untraceable wire transfers with insufficient reference detail and spends weeks reconciling them against enrolment. Convera publishes LSE as a customer streamlining multiple payment processes.

The company defines its business segments explicitly, at under 10 million dollars annual revenue for small business, over 10 million for medium and large, and over a billion dollars under management for financial institutions, which is a clearer statement of who a vendor serves than most publish. Those are qualification thresholds rather than prices. Customer stories cover IDB Global Federal Credit Union and Prisma Capital. Rates are not published as a general rate card.

Convera FAQs

No general rate card is published. Pricing is arranged per client, and the revenue figures shown on the site define customer segments rather than prices.

A school collecting student fees receives many small payments needing matching to enrolment records, while an investment fund moves occasional very large sums where settlement timing matters. They share little beyond conversion.

Without a specialist service a university finance office receives untraceable wires with insufficient reference detail and spends weeks reconciling them against enrolment.

Small business under 10 million dollars annual revenue, medium and large above that, and financial institutions above a billion dollars under management.

LSE for streamlining multiple payment processes, IDB Global Federal Credit Union for global efficiency, and Prisma Capital among institutional funds.
