Fluent Commerce

Fluent Commerce provides cloud native distributed order management, and was named a Leader in The Forrester Wave for Order Management Systems in the first quarter of 2025.

The product is divided into components that map onto the distinct problems distributed fulfilment creates. Fluent Big Inventory is an enterprise inventory availability hub, Fluent Order Promising shows customers delivery and pickup options they can trust, Fluent Order Orchestration manages the whole order lifecycle and automates manual processes, Fluent Store creates pick, pack, ship and pickup experiences, and Fluent Analytics tracks KPIs and spots issues before they become problems.

Separating inventory availability from order promising is the architecturally significant choice. Knowing where stock is and deciding what to promise a customer are genuinely different computations, since the second must account for shipping time, store capacity and the risk of the item selling in a shop before the pick happens. Systems that conflate them are why customers receive delivery dates that turn out to be wrong.

The Orchestration Engine controls how inventory data, sourcing logic and orders are processed, and Order Management Experience provides tools for creating new workflows, so the sourcing rules can express a retailer's actual commercial priorities rather than a vendor's defaults.
