HYPE Innovation provides an innovation management platform of five modules: Ideation for generating and developing ideas, Trends and Technologies for scouting and monitoring, Projects for validating and tracking the innovation portfolio, Partnering for managing an innovation partner ecosystem, and Boards for agile team level innovation, with a low-code Extend tool for adding business logic.

Trend and technology management as a distinct module addresses the half of innovation that idea platforms ignore. Collecting employee ideas surfaces what people inside the organisation already know, and by construction it cannot surface what is happening outside it. A company disrupted by a technology it never tracked was not short of ideas, it was short of awareness.

Partner ecosystem management follows the same reasoning outward. Most organisations innovate substantially through suppliers, universities and startups rather than alone, and scouting and managing those relationships is a discipline nobody owns unless a system exists for it.

Separating Boards for agile team level work from the enterprise modules recognises that these are different activities. A team improving its own process weekly needs something lightweight; a corporate innovation portfolio needs governance.
