Deque axe

Axe is Deque's digital accessibility platform, and its defining characteristic is that testing is pushed as far toward the developer as possible rather than run as an audit afterwards. The Axe Platform brings all accessibility testing and monitoring tools together in one place, but the individual products target distinct points in the development cycle.

The developer-facing tools are the most distinctive. Axe DevTools provides automated accessibility testing for web and mobile, with a browser extension automating testing directly in the browser. The Axe DevTools Linter goes earliest of all, described as spellcheck for static code, catching accessibility problems as code is written rather than after it runs. The Axe MCP Server offers one-click accessibility fixes inside the IDE, which puts remediation in the same place as the code.

That linting and IDE integration matters commercially, because accessibility defects are far cheaper to fix at authoring time than after release, and cheapest of all when never written.

At the organisational end, Axe Monitor provides site-wide scanning, reporting and business intelligence. Services add comprehensive testing support, consulting gives strategic guidance for scaling sustainable accessibility programmes, and accessibility audits provide fast expert-led compliance and VPAT support, which is what a procurement process usually demands.
