Docusign Notary provides remote electronic notarization within Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, letting documents be sent, signed and notarized in one flow.

Being part of Docusign is the whole argument. The friction in notarization is not the notary but the process around it, and an organisation already sending agreements through Docusign adds notarization as a step in an existing workflow rather than adopting another vendor, another integration and another interface for signers to learn. Given how many recipients have already signed something in Docusign, the signer side needs no explanation either.

The surrounding platform is substantial: contract lifecycle management automating the contract process, agreement preparation, an agreement manager for finding, analysing and acting on agreements, Iris for turning agreement data into action, AI agents that draft, review and orchestrate agreements, a workflow builder and web forms for collecting data before signing.

That breadth matters because notarization is rarely the whole task. A document requiring notarization usually also needs preparation, routing, other signatures and storage, and handling all of it in one system removes the handoffs where documents get lost.
