What is Webull?

Webull is an online brokerage offering commission free trading of stocks, exchange traded funds and options listed on United States exchanges, alongside futures, index options, over the counter securities, crypto, prediction markets and overnight trading. Accounts extend into cash management, recurring investing, retirement accounts, fixed income and money market funds.

Charting and analysis tooling is what distinguishes it from the simplest commission free apps. Webull provides technical and fundamental screens, heat maps, an economic calendar and an orderflow chart platform, which is a depth of tooling more often associated with paid desktop software. That suits a self directed trader who wants to do their own analysis rather than follow recommendations.

Paper trading is offered as a first class feature rather than an afterthought, letting someone rehearse a strategy with no money at risk. For a platform whose users often arrive new to markets, this is the difference between learning on a simulator and learning on a live balance.

An open API and third party platform support allow programmatic access, which is uncommon at this price point. Commission free does not mean fee free, and the vendor publishes the regulatory and exchange charges that still apply, including a per contract fee on certain index option trades.
