What is Snapdocs?

Snapdocs provides digital mortgage closing software covering eClosing, notary coordination through Notary Connect, and the settlement collaboration around them. It connects the parties involved in closing a loan rather than serving only the lender.

Coordination is the real problem in mortgage closing, not document generation. A closing involves the lender, the title company, the settlement agent, a notary and the borrower, all of whom must have the right documents at the right moment on a date that cannot slip without consequences. Most of the delay and error in the process comes from handoffs between those parties, not from any one of them being slow.

Notary coordination is a specific and unglamorous piece of that. Someone must find a commissioned notary available at the borrower's location at the appointed time, confirm they arrived, and get the executed documents back. Done by phone and email across thousands of closings, it is a full time operational function.

Errors matter disproportionately here because a mortgage closing package is a legal instrument. A missing signature or an incorrectly notarised page is not a formatting problem, it can invalidate the transaction or make the loan unsaleable in the secondary market, which is why error free is the claim vendors lead with.

A closing involves the lender, title company, settlement agent, notary and borrower, all needing the right documents at the right moment on a fixed date. Most delay comes from handoffs, not from any one party.

The notary coordination product, finding a commissioned notary available at the borrower's location and time, confirming attendance and returning executed documents.

A closing package is a legal instrument. A missing signature or an incorrectly notarised page can invalidate the transaction or make the loan unsaleable in the secondary market.

Yes. The platform covers both fully digital and hybrid closings, which matters because not every jurisdiction or party is ready to do everything electronically.
